Maryland Healthcare Human Resources Association

July 8, 2011

Dear MHHRA Members:

I hope everyone enjoyed a long holiday weekend celebrating our nation’s birthday. MHHRA is also celebrating a very successful 2010-2011 year. I would like to thank Jim Miller for his “two term” Presidency for the association. His leadership brought continued membership growth, record attendance to our annual conferences and expanded survey offerings. These and other successes could not have been accomplished without the dedication of our Board members: Sharon Kemp, Becky Strong, and Evan Combs.

ASHHRA just awarded our chapter and several members for Outstanding Chapter Contributions. The following individuals will be honored at the national annual ASHHRA conference this September in Phoenix:

As your new President, I plan to continue the success and reach new goals for our coming year.

Our Vice President/HR Leader dinner meetings will be held again at the Marriott Residence Inn – White Marsh on the following dates: September 21, 2011, November 16, 2011, January 18, 2012 and March 21, 2012.

We have also selected April 25, 2012 for our annual 2012 Education Conference at the Conference Center at the Maritime Institute. Please mark your calendars for these important dates. Details on these events will be sent in the near future.

Our association goals and objectives for the 2011-2012 include:

ASHHRA provides support to our association with continuing education opportunities, legislative updates, and an outstanding national conference. I encourage you to seek individual membership with ASHHRA to take full advantage of these benefits. www.ashhra.org
